TESTING GOD

I Corinthians 16

V:8 But I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost; for a wide door for effective service has opened to me.

V:10 Now if Timothy comes, see that he is with you without cause to be afraid.

V:13 Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

V:16 be in subjection to such men and to everyone who helps in the work and labors……. acknowledge such men.

Vs 1-4 Now concerning the collection for the saints, as I directed the churches of Galatia, so do you also. 2 On the first day of every week each one of you is to put aside and save, as he may prosper, so that no collections be made when I come. 3 When I arrive, whomever you may approve, I will send them with letters to carry your gift to Jerusalem;4 and if it is fitting for me to go also, they will go with me.

Exodus 31:1-6 (building of the Tabernacle) Now the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “See, I have called by name Bezalel, the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 3 I have filled him with the Spirit of God in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all kinds of craftsmanship, 4 to make artistic designs for work in gold, in silver, and in bronze, 5 and in the cutting of stones for settings, and in the carving of wood, that he may work in all kinds of craftsmanship.

6 And behold, I Myself have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the hearts of all who are skillful I have put skill, that they may make all that I have commanded you.

Ephesians 4:28 He who steals must steal no longer; but rather he must labor, performing with his own hands what is good, so that he will have something to share with one who has need.

1 Timothy 6:17 Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the

uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. 18Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share, 19storing up for themselves the treasure of a good

foundation for the future, so that they may take hold of that which is life indeed.

1 Corinthians 4:7 For who regards you as superior? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as if you had not received it?

1 Timothy 6:17 but on God, who richly supplies us with all things to enjoy. V:18 Instruct them to do good, to be rich in good works, to be generous and ready to share.

James 1:22 But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not merely hearers who delude themselves.

Malachi 3:1-12 Look what God says in V: 1 “‘See, I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Look at the sins God is accusing these people of doing in Malachi 3: 5-6 adulterers…okay , we expect that one….. and against those who swear falsely, and against those who oppress the wage earner in his wages, the widow and the orphan, and those who turn aside the alien and do not fear Me,” says the LORD

Look how he ends the verse….

For I, the LORD, do not change; therefore you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed.

V6-11 7 “From the days of your fathers you have turned aside from My statutes and have not kept them. Return to Me, and I will return to you,” says the LORD of hosts. “But you say, ‘How shall we return?’

You Have Robbed God

8 “Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing Me! But you say, ‘How have we robbed You?’ In tithes and offerings. 9 You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the whole nation of you! 10 Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the LORD of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you a blessing until it overflows.

11 Then I will rebuke the devourer for you, so that it will not destroy the fruits of the ground; nor will your vine in the field cast its grapes,” says the LORD
